Global Monitoring helps OEM's implement their own Predictive Maintenance Programs

Predictive maintenance (PdM) uses continuous (online) equipment condition monitoring techniques to help determine the condition of in-service equipment. The ultimate goal of PdM is to perform maintenance at a scheduled point in time when the maintenance activity is most cost-effective and before the equipment loses performance within a threshold. This is in contrast to time and/or operation count-based maintenance, where a piece of equipment gets maintained whether it needs it or not.

Global Monitoring works with OEM’s to help implement predictive systems for their product lines. The video below highlights one such implementation, which uses a standard Global Monitoring unit in conjunction with the OEM’s proprietary software to create a predictive system for large industrial pumps.
