Global Monitoring “Re-Invents” the Remote Monitoring System

SPRINGFIELD, Pa., January 3, 2010 – Global Monitoring, a pioneer in multi-function remote monitoring systems, announced the introduction of the GMU8100 Remote Monitoring Unit for industrial “condition monitoring” and “environmental monitoring” applications.

“This product was designed to provide quasi-realtime status of equipment and environmental conditions at remote locations that cannot be effectively serviced by conventional wireless or Ethernet-based monitoring systems” said Steve Sanislo, founder and CEO of Global Monitoring. “We’ve adapted proven techniques to solve a number of security, reliability and communications issues that plague many of the other systems on the market today.”

The GMU8100 has 8 to 32 general purpose inputs that accept a variety of sensors. It also includes an output controller, data logger, alarm processor and Energy-Star compliant, battery backed power supply.

Intended for industrial, scientific and commercial applications, the GMU8100 is available from stock for $1295.
